  1. I think I prefer The Soup's spoof showcase.

"Apple's iPhone: a revolutionary portable device that never leaves your side, and never sleeps with your cousin." Tongue out

But seriously, that is one sleek looking piece of gorgeousness.  If ever I want to dump my brick of a phone it'd be for that - if it proves reliable.  Most mobiles just aren't worth the money but maybe, just maybe...

  2. Oh dear.  Apparently it's about as secure as a Group 4 security van:

  3. The rather beautiful part is it syncs with iTunes, and runs OSX so its software can be updated on connecting just like an iPod and Apple has said these fixes and updates will be free.  Apple also said it was a full version of Safari so case proven if it has the same bug as Safari for Windows. Fixes to these in a few days methinks - the windows Safari fix has already been released. The system presents no files or interfaces like a desktop - there's not even menus - see review - so these guys are up to some serious tweeking/ hacking.

  5. mmm it's a marvel ok and Apple have been really clever with the interface especially the two finger pinch and stretch to zoom in and zoom out.  So, to keep the design completely intuitive, there is no filing system or pull down menus which require mouse/stylus or rollerball and clicking.  However, Apple have sacrificied some menu borne features to get this clean interface.  How about the fact there is no cut, copy or paste on the iphone?  Remember the iphone is for doing your full feature emails with inline images etc.  How do you email a link you've looked at on the browser ...well at the moment you type the whole bleedin' thing in again. Ever used cut, copy and space in your address book.  Do you fancy typing even a brief note without cut, copy and paste?  I'm afraid that's a "I can't do without feature"  Looks like the next version for me.
